Using an automated form-fill-seal process, a water pouch packaging machine turns a continuous roll of heat-sealable plastic film into sealed water pouches in a predetermined order. In order to maintain the right tension and alignment, the plastic film roll is first installed on the machine and unwound using guide rollers. After passing through a forming collar, the film is folded into the shape of a cylindrical tube. At this point, a vertical sealing unit forms a continuous tube by applying pressure and heat to make a longitudinal seal.
Accurate pouch volume is ensured by simultaneously feeding the tube with filtered and treated water from a stainless-steel tank via a filling line with regulated volumetric or time-based dosing. Horizontal sealing jaws close and apply heat to seal the top of the filled pouch once the proper amount of water has been supplied. This process creates the bottom seal of the subsequent pouch in a continuous cycle. An inbuilt cutting blade then cuts through the sealed part, separating the separate bags.
To guarantee leak-proof and consistent pouches, the entire process is managed by an electronic control panel, frequently PLC-based, which synchronizes film movement, filling timing, sealing temperature, and cutting speed. UV sterilization, date coding systems, and automatic counting mechanisms are examples of advanced machinery that may improve manufacturing efficiency and cleanliness. The machine is perfect for producing packaged drinking water because of its continuous, high-speed operation, which enables the creation of thousands of water sachets each hour with little assistance from humans.
